5 FAQ about Atlanta Studio Newborn Photography

After serving families for years with Atlanta studio newborn photography, I’ve talked with countless moms about sessions. I always love to schedule a phone call to hear all about your family and explain my process in depth. I’ve rounded up some of the most frequently asked questions about my services and have included them in today’s blog. If you have any questions that weren’t answered here, I’d love to speak with you directly! You can reach out by clicking here.

How does hair and makeup work?

On session day, I have mom arrive first with the baby before the session. While my hair and makeup team gets you all glammed up, I begin taking portraits of your baby. I ask moms to arrive with clean hair and a fresh face. Then your partner can arrive at the session time along with any other children to begin our Atlanta studio newborn photography session.

How do I select what to wear?

I am here to help with wardrobe! Before your session, we have a planning appointment to cover this. Clients come into my Atlanta studio and can browse the hundreds of dresses I have for moms. I help you coordinate your entire family for portraits! During this time you can also view the studio and all the sample artwork offerings.

Does it include the whole family?

Of course! I believe its so important to include all of your family members. I always start every Atlanta studio newborn photography session with portraits of your newborn baby alone. Then we go through my posing workflow. I get portraits of your entire family together, parents with baby, siblings together, and more! I also like to sneak in an updated portrait of each of your children individually. I move quickly to keep everyone comfortable and happy! My years of experience allow me to produce galleries that are full of variety and that make beautiful gallery wall arrangements for your home.

What happens after the session?

After our session time together, I edit all your photos and prepare them for viewing. Once they are ready, we schedule a Zoom call to view them all. I will walk through the images with you and guide you in creating lasting heirloom pieces with your images. The most popular options amongst my Atlanta studio newborn photography clients are frames, gallery walls, and albums. After our call you will receive your digital images in an online gallery while I prepare your artwork orders. This final touch point is so important, because I am here to help you decide how to best enjoy your images as a family!

Can I add on maternity or first birthday portraits?

One of my most popular options amongst new moms is my first year baby plan. This can include everything from maternity through the first birthday. At the end of this plan you will have beautiful portraits that are consistent and that document your baby from bump to birthday! This is an excellent way to walk away with a completed first year album that is completely designed for you to forever remember your baby’s first year. Another great option is to build a gallery wall of frames in your home showcasing your baby’s growth over that first year.
