Why You Should Include the Whole Family In Your Marietta Newborn Portraits

I’ve had the honor of working with many families on their Marietta newborn portraits through they years. Some families come in for their first baby and then revisit the studio on the second and beyond. As a mom of four, I understand how busy life gets with each additional baby. Some families may think they just want a few photos of only their newest addition, but I disagree! While I always spend time getting special portraits of your sweet newborn alone, I believe the whole family should be included in your portrait session.

Tell the Unique Story of the Relationships in Your Family

The addition of a new baby completely changes the dynamics of your family. When you include your whole family in your Marietta newborn portraits, you can show all the special relationships that make up your family story. There are so many differences between welcoming your first child and your second, third, or even fourth!

The baby may be he center of focus during the photography session, but we also spend time getting images that document the way each family interacts with the baby. After all, these are the people that will completely shape your baby’s whole world for the next few years.

Make the Older Siblings Feel Special

Any parent of multiple children can attest that children will go through an adjustment period when a new baby is added to the family. Whether your children are excited or hesitant about having a new sibling, any change within a family can be hard!

Because newborns require so much care and attention, older siblings may feel a little left out. I can help you use your Marietta newborn portrait session to make them feel extra special! First of all, simply being in the photos give each child affirmation of their place within the family. I like to give older siblings special attention and make the session extra fun for them. I also enlist older siblings as my helpers during the session, making them feel scene and important.

Wardrobe for the Whole Family

I know one of the biggest stressors for including the whole family may be the daunting task of finding an outfit for everyone to wear! This is one thing you never have to worry about when booking a newborn session with me. I have options for the ENTIRE family in my studio wardrobe.
