The Best Parks in Marietta

I’m Lindsey, a Marietta newborn and family photographer and busy mom. I love serving other mothers through pampering them and photographing their families. As a long time resident of Marietta and mom pf four, I have lots of experience with local parks and fun spots to take out children. Today I’m sharing my picks for the best parks in Marietta.

Swift Cantrell

This Marietta park is the best choice for littles and moms with children of multiple ages. There is truly something here for everyone! Swift Cantrell is located at 3140 Old 41 Highway. Some of its features include two different playgrounds to target younger and older children. This park also has a splash pad for summer fun! Other features include a 1.4 acre dog park, an inclusive playground with turf, one mile and half mile asphalt trails, 40,000 sq ft skatepark, and picnic pavilions!

Elizabeth Porter Park

Next up on my list of best family parks in Marietta is Elizabeth Porter Park. This park is a favorite for moms with children in that middle age range. There is a lot of entertainment for bigger kids here! Parts of the playground give off ninja warrior course vibes. There is also a sprayground area for relief from summer heat! You can see the park here. One really fun feature is a gravity rail!

Glover Park

It is funny to call this a park but the center of the Marietta square is a beautiful area filled with history and life. There is a fountain for penny throwing in the middle and a playground built from a historic train. Glover Park is the perfect spot to visit to get sillies out following a fun family lunch out on the square. Throughout the year Glover Park is also host to many special events, festivals, and concerts.

Sessions Stand

Sessions stand has been a staple for coffee near the studio for years but they have just opened a much larger beautiful space across the street with a huge lawn to run and play in. They have a swing and slide for the kids to play on but best of all, mom and dad can sit and watch from the beautiful outdoor porch!
