When families schedule Atlanta first birthday photos with our studio, they get so much more than just portraits of their one year old. I love involving the entire family in these special milestone sessions. After a first birthday studio sessions, families can walk away with a gallery that gives them updated portraits of the entire family! Today I’m walking you through all the shots I work on capturing during a first birthday studio session for a family with multiple children.

First: Atlanta First Birthday Photos Featuring the Birthday Boy!

The most important part of these milestone sessions is featuring the Birthday Baby! We begin with getting a range of lovely portraits of the one year old. My all white studio offers a classic backdrop that creates timeless photos of your little one. From balloons, to a bench, a white bed and more, we have so many spaces to get unique and interactive shots of your sweet baby.

Second: Portraits of all the Siblings

As a mother of four, I understand how busy life can be when you are juggling the schedules of multiple children. If you have a first birthday session scheduled for one child, we can take advantage of the time we have to get updated portraits of all your children! I take a few moments to get individual photos of each child as well as sweet sibling shots.

Third: Focus on Parents with the Birthday Boy

Next, we get some portraits of the parents with their one year old. I love getting photos of both parents with the baby as well as individually. These photos will be a treasure not only for you, but for your child when they grow up!

Fourth: Whole Family Portraits

These are often the ones that end up in the frames! We gather the whole family together for family portraits for every session. I love getting multiple shots of the whole family together so my clients have several family portrait options to choose from.

Last: Atlanta First Birthday Photos of The Cake Smash!

The most fun way to end a first birthday session….the Cake Smash! These always take place at the end of an Atlanta first birthday photo session due the messy nature of digging into a cake! It’s a time of celebration for your birthday boy and is always interactive and fun.

After the Session: Gallery Wall Design

I never leave clients with the task of figuring out what to do with portraits after a session. After the session, I help clients by designing albums and gallery walls for their photos. This gallery wall was specially designed for a wall in my client’s home using one of my custom frames.
